Sertoma Club Events Help Fund Services to the Community

The primary annual activities of the Liberty Sertoma Club are the Flag Program, the Wine Celebration Dinner in February, the Golf Tournament in July, and the Trap Shoot in the fall. Weekly meetings with a program are held each Thursday at 12 noon at the Liberty Public Schools Support Service Building at 801 Kent Street off of 291 Highway.

Check back often; we'll be updating this information with dates and details shortly.

The Sertoma Flag Program is the most visible activity of the Liberty Sertoma Club.  Nine times a year we put out American flags in and around the Liberty community.  Supported by local businesses, the Flag Program allows members and the community to join together and show their patriotism. The Sertoma Wine Celebration, Silent Auction and Social Event is held in February.

This special evening includes a dinner and a variety of wines to taste and savor. Featured wines were available to purchase during the event.

The Liberty Sertoma Club Trap Shoot is the club's largest fund raising event. It is held each fall at the Kansas City Trap Association at Smithville Lake. This recreational clay pigeon shoot is open to all, from beginners to experienced marksmen. Prizes are awarded to the winners in two Divisions: Ladies & Men. In addition to the shoot, the evening includes dinner, bucket raffle and silent auction.

The Annual Golf Tournament is held at the Cardinal Hills Golf Course in late spring or early summer with a shotgun start. Proceeds from the Golf Tournament are used annually to provide college scholarships to high school seniors in our region.

Christmas Tree Program Success

Liberty Sertomans had a big impact on the 2015 Liberty Chrismtas Tree Program, helping to deliver literally tons of food and gifts to the area's needy families.

The Liberty Christmas Tree Program is designed to lend a hand to disadvantaged families and seniors who are facing a difficult holiday season. Sertomans were out in good numbers volunteering to organize and deliver. Merry Christmas!
